‘A deal in two weeks’ — markets turn optimistic on Brexit

Optimism has begun to blossom among investors as Britain enters the decisive week of trade talks with the European Union, with one fund manager predicting a deal will materialise within a fortnight.

A preliminary deadline for the discussions has been set for next month, as it will take time for the terms of the deal to gain approval before the end of the UK’s post-Brexit transition period at the end of December.
