Abingworth Management, the European life sciences venture capital group, has hired Michelle Doig, an ex-Lehman Brothers investment banker, to manage the funding and refinancing of its portfolio of companies.

The group was one of a handful of early stage venture capital investors to close a new fund last year, and the growth of its quoted investments portfolio prompted it to hire Joe Anderson as a dedicated manager of its quoted investments portfolio.
