ABN Amro Asset Management, the funds arm of the Netherlands-based banking group, has promoted Andrew King to head of portfolio management for Europe, Australasia and the Far East.

He will take responsibility for building a team of international equity managers in London, and will also oversee ABN Amro Asset Management's five North American equities teams.
