Artificial intelligence will have a "more profound impact" on financial services jobs in the UK than the country's exit from the European Union, the City's top envoy to Brussels has warned.

Amid concerns that Brexit could force thousands of banking and investment jobs from the UK, Jeremy Browne, the City of London Corporation's special representative to the EU, said there needed to be more of a debate on the effects of new technologies on the financial workforce.
