AllianceBernstein has made its Japan head the new chief executive of its UK business, filling a role that was left vacant earlier this month by David Steyn’s departure.

Timothy Ryan will assume the new position in March, relocating from Tokyo to London. He will also become co-head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa with Richard Haxe.
