Amundi’s chief executive, Yves Perrier, is to plough half his €2m bonus into a new charitable fund set up by parent bank Crédit Agricole to combat the outbreak of the deadly virus.
The Solidarity Fund for the Elderly, which has been established in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, aims to raise €20m with contributions from senior Crédit Agricole executives. The French banking group owns a 70% stake in Amundi, and Perrier also holds the title of deputy general manager of Crédit Agricole in charge of savings, insurance and property.
