A-P Fonden 1, one of the Swedish national pension funds, is committing up to 10% in alternative assets such as private equity, hedge funds and property, in the long term.
A spokeswoman at the Skr126.6bn (€13.7bn) said the board had not set limits to its alternative asset allocation, but it is looking at 10% as a ballpark number. Currently the fund has 3% in alternatives, purely in property holdings.
