AT&T plans bond sale to refinance

AT&T, the US's leading long-distance telephone call carrier, is likely to refinance part of a jumbo syndicated loan by selling bonds early next year.

AT&T is raising $25bn (&#836429bn) through a 364-day revolving credit facility which it will refinance in the term market and through asset sales, according to bond and loan market professionals.
