Aviva Investors has appointed a senior strategist from rival asset manager Standard Life Investments to a key role advising insurance clients on how to allocate their money.

Iain Forrester has joined as head of insurance investment strategy in the £344bn fund manager's global investment solutions unit, according to a statement.
