Bank of America chief paid $13.1 million in 2013

Moynihan's total compensation rises 37% from year earlier

Bank of America chief executive Brian Moynihan received $13.1 million in compensation for 2013, a 37% increase over the prior year, the bank said in a regulatory filing Friday.

The figures were reported under Securities and Exchange Commission guidelines, which call for companies to include equity compensation that executives received in the year in question. Bank of America had previously disclosed that Moynihan was awarded $14 million in compensation for 2013 under its own reporting metrics, representing a 17% increase over 2012.
