Banks demand clarity on validity of contracts post Brexit

UK-based banks urgently need assurances that they will still be able to rely on contracts that cover €1.3 trillion of cross-border financial transactions after Brexit, say two key industry bodies.

In a report published today, trade bodies UK Finance and the Association of Financial Markets in Europe said uncertainty relating to cross-border contracts needed to be "addressed promptly to avoid damaging impacts".
