Barclays has promoted one of its top M&A bankers in Europe to a group of senior dealmakers aimed at drumming up business from its biggest clients.

Pier Luigi Colizzi, who previously led Barclays’ M&A business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has been named as global chair of investment banking, according to a statement.
