Bats Global Markets, the nine-year-old US exchange operator, was one of four bourses to join the World Federation of Exchanges on Tuesday, as the lobby group overhauls itself to become a more active industry association.
Bats was formally admitted to the WFE at its annual conference held in Seoul, according to a statement. Euronext, The Bahrain Bourse and the Nigerian Stock Exchange were the other new joiners, bringing the group's total membership to 64 exchanges.
