BGI builds in Asia

Barclays Global Investors, which manages over $1.6 trillion (€1.3 trillion) in assets, has appointed a head of official institutions to cover Asia.

Based in Singapore, James Blair will be responsible for managing Barclays Global Investors' institutional business throughout the region, excluding Japan. The business focuses on central banks, government investment agencies and state pension funds.
