State Street and BlackRock to move ETFs from NYSE

Take your eye off the market for a long holiday weekend, and you're sure to miss out on some activity, Barron's reports.

Following the market's close on Friday, State Street's asset management unit announced that it would be shuttering 19 exchange-traded funds late July and BlackRock said it would move 50 iShares ETFs off the Intercontinental Exchange's NYSE Arca to CBOE Holdings, Bats and Nasdaq exchanges. Nearly $200bn in combined market capitalisation is leaving the NYSE, but that's just a drop in the bucket.
