BlackRock assets reach new record of $12.5tn amid private markets push

BlackRock grew assets to a new record of $12.5tn during the second quarter, buoyed by its continued push into private markets.

Half year results for the world’s largest asset manager, published on 15 July, show the firm grew assets under management by 18% year-on-year to the end of June, and up from the $11.6tn recorded at the end of the first quarter.
