Fink calls for $2 trillion European bank rescue plan

BlackRock chief executive says Europe’s problems ‘are fixable’ in a speech at Financial News' Awards for Excellence in European Asset Management, where he was given a special prize for Asset Management Chief Executive of the Decade

Larry Fink, the chief executive of BlackRock, has called on European governments to coordinate an injection of $2 trillion of public and private money into Europe's banking system because "incrementalism isn't working".

Fink gave his views on the eurozone crisis at last night's Financial News' Awards for Excellence in European Asset Management, which was held at the Freemason's Hall in London.
