BNP Paribas is forging stronger ties between its investment banking and commercial lending businesses in North America, where it hopes the cross-selling of advisory services can help generate millions in extra annual revenues by 2020.

The French bank today announced a new joint venture between the commercial loans arm of its subsidiary Bank of the West and its corporate and institutional banking division.
