BNY Mellon has ordered its employees in the UK to stop working from home, causing anger among staff who have become used to working flexibly.

Staff at the $33tn custody giant were previously allowed to work from home several days a week but have now been told they are expected to be at their desks full time, except under unavoidable circumstances such as illness or family emergencies.
