Florida may be the Sunshine State but the outlook for delegates at the 38th annual International Futures Industry Conference, to be held in Boca Raton over the next few days, is decidedly mixed.
Dark clouds dominate the futures industry with three main issues on the table: unprecedented regulatory change; the hangover of the collapse of MF Global and PFG Best and subsequent lack of trust in the industry; and the challenge to maintain revenue in the absence of traditional income streams coming from interest rates and commissions.
