Rolf Breuer, the former chief executive of Deutsche Bank, looks set to stay on as non-executive chairman of the German bank's supervisory board, as it came out fighting over its €100m legal battle with Leo Kirch, the Bavarian media mogul.
Sources close to the board said: "There is no question that Breuer would have been asked to resign over this. This is not an issue for us and it has not even become a question for the supervisory board."
