Ever since the UK voted to leave the European Union, Remain campaigners have been predicting the economy will suffer. Now they are finally set to get what they've been waiting for.

Such predictions tend to be much more cautious these days. Don't forget many of these people were the ones who predicted an emergency Budget, a recession, an exodus of large institutions and stock market panic in the event of a Leave vote – none of which happened.
