When Oliver Bussmann talks about innovation, banks listen. And his message to them now is: you’re doing it wrong.

The self-described “innovation orchestrator” has something of a vested interest. For the past six months, as the founder of Bussmann Advisory, he has been advising banks and other financial firms on their digital plans. But he knows the issues from the inside too, having been chief information officer at UBS between 2013 and 2016.
