The $225bn (€173bn) California Public Employees' Retirement System has hired a state legislator as its chief of government affairs.
Wendy Notsinneh, former chief of staff to Assembly member Jackie Goldberg, has joined the pension fund's office of governmental affairs. She will manage a staff of legislative analysts and serve as chief legislative advocate for Calpers state and federal legislative programs. Notsinneh replaces Lisa Marie Hammond, who took a position in the pension scheme's legal office.
