Candover, the UK private equity house, is believed to be backing Bourne Leisure in a leveraged buyout of leisure group Rank's UK holiday chain.

The holiday group, which includes Butlins and Haven holidays, is expected to fetch up to £600m (&#8364981m). Candover is believed to be in talks with investment bankers about providing leveraged finance to back the deal.
