The chair of investment bank Cavendish and chief executive of VC firm Octopus Ventures have joined an influential City taskforce pushing for reforms to revive the UK’s flagging capital markets.

Erin Platts and Lisa Gordon are the newest members of the Capital Markets Industry Taskforce (CMIT), a 10-strong group of executives created in 2022 by London Stock Exchange chief executive Dame Julia Hoggett.
