Roger Carr, the new chairman of Centrica, which has announced the £1.5 billion (€2.26bn) sale of the AA, the European roadside rescue business, is also an adviser to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, a private equity group viewed as a potential bidder for the firm.
Carr is just a month into his chairmanship at Centrica having succeeded Sir Michael Perry. He lists his role as a senior adviser to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts in the Centrica annual report.
