Charity watchdog calls for ‘urgent’ meeting with Presidents Club

The body that oversees charities in the UK has called for an urgent meeting with the Presidents Club, a charitable trust at the centre of a sexual harassment scandal, following a letter of complaint from more than 40 MPs.

Correspondence published online yesterday between a group of cross-party UK politicians and the Charity Commission follows allegations that hostesses were groped at the Presidents Club's annual dinner last Thursday. Last night, the charity announced that it would wind itself down.
