Eleven Chinese banks allowed to conduct asset management business

According to a report by 21st Century Business Herald, 11 Chinese banks will be allowed to conduct their asset management business independently

Eleven Chinese banks will be allowed to run credit financing and asset management businesses on a trial basis, according to a report by 21st Century Business Herald Wednesday, citing sources close to the matter.

The move will let the banks conduct their asset management business independently, rather than having to rely on brokerages, trust and fund management firms as intermediaries to link banks' funds to their investment projects to get around government restrictions.
