Numis Securities has landed two UK broking clients in the space of 24 hours, putting the London stockbroker alongside a Wall Street heavyweight on the advisory rosters of a £757 million biotech company and £905 million media group.

On May 20, magazine and events business Ascential named Numis and Goldman Sachs as its joint brokers. Both banks worked on the media company's London flotation in February, with Goldman acting as a joint global co-ordinator alongside Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Numis advising as a joint bookrunner alongside BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank.
