The Lord Mayor of London has played down fears of banks quitting the City due to Brexit, but said he wants to "knock some heads together" and get on with the job of negotiating a deal.

Speaking at the Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards for community engagement at Mansion House last night, Andrew Parmley said he was not worried about the City losing large numbers of jobs to European Union destinations.
