Comment: New Star is down, and ripe for a buyout

Investors in John Duffield's London funds house have had little to cheer about over the last year, but as its share price languishes well below historic highs, a bidder could yet reap some rewards.

Its share price peaked last July at 485p. Today they stand at 103p, 79% down from its peak. The majority of its funds are underperforming their peers and it has suffered billions of pounds in outflows.
