Commerzbank Securities is in the throes of upgrading its equity research group - firing nine of its current team of London-based analysts in the process.
"We are not reducing our team we are in fact recruiting people," said a spokeswoman. She said that during its review of its research operation, the bank decided that the nine analysts "were just not the right people to take this thing forward."
