Connors swaps Microsoft for Ignition

John Connors, chief financial officer of Microsoft, the world's largest software company, is to step down from his post later this year to become a partner in Ignition Partners, a venture capital firm based in Washington State.

Ignition, founded in 2000 by a group of former Microsoft executives, focuses on investments in software and communications technology, with a particular emphasis on telecommunications and network infrastructure.
