Credit derivatives growth slows

The pace of growth in the global credit derivatives market slowed last year, according to the latest survey of privately-negotiated contracts by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association.

The credit derivatives market, which has faced growing regulatory pressure to upgrade its trading and support operations, expanded by 105% to a record $17.3 trillion (€14.4 trillion) in notional volumes in the twelve months to December 31.
