Around 1,000 former Credit Suisse bankers could be in line for fresh bonus payments after a court ruled that the Swiss government’s move to strip them of outstanding payouts was unlawful.

In a ruling published late on 13 May, The Swiss Federal Administrative Court sided with 12 former Credit Suisse bankers who had contested the Federal Department of Finance’s move to permanently reduce bonuses in the aftermath of the bank’s rescue by rival UBS.
