Credit Suisse has announced a top-level reshuffle in investment banking, with Luigi de Vecchi, co-head of the global division, taking a sabbatical, and energy banker Jamie Welch relocating to London to take the reins in Europe.

De Vecchi, who is based in London and one of Europe's leading investment bankers, has decided to take time off for personal reasons, and will return in a senior advisory role, though it remains unknown when this will be.
