CSFB is advising E.ON, the German utility, on the sale of its 65.5% stake in Stinnes, its transport and chemicals division.

E.ON's preference in the face of disinterested markets is to auction its stake, and CSFB has invited interested parties to examine the books. CSFB declined to comment further, but the line-up is thought to include both trade and financial investors.
