More people in the UK have been dying younger in the past few years, slowing improvements in life expectancy - and that may be one factor behind a recent pause in pensions dealmaking, according to experts.

The numbers of UK companies offloading their pension funds to insurance companies, or signing swap deals to hedge rising life expectancy, has fallen off dramatically in 2017.
