Deutsche Bank has hired a Morgan Stanley veteran to become its next chief financial officer and handed its CEO Christian Sewing another four years in the role in a senior management shake-up.

Raja Akram is joining Deutsche as CFO from October, the bank said in a statement, replacing James von Moltke, who has held the role for the past eight years and who was seen as a contender for the top job.
