Duke Street Capital's newly opened Paris office has made its first investment with the €200m ($226m) buy-out of Galaxie, a French chain specialising in bed and breakfast accommodation.

The pan-European private equity house has had a presence in France for a number of years, but opened its Paris office, headed by Frédéric Chauffier, last year.
