DWS looks to increase 30% stake in China’s Harvest Fund Management

Chief executive Stefan Hoops said asset manager is ‘going through all the required steps’ to increase its position in the Chinese fund giant

The chief executive of DWS has said the fund group wants to increase its existing stake in China-based Harvest Fund Management to bolster its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.

DWS, which is majority-owned by Deutsche Bank, currently has a 30% stake in Harvest — the fourth largest asset manager in China.
