The Federal Reserve has released the first full set of financials for European banks’ US operations. They don’t look pretty.

At Deutsche Bank both capital and profitability look to be a problem, while Barclays and UBS appear undercapitalised. Profitability was disappointing or nonexistent at BNP and Credit Suisse in the first nine months of 2016.
