A former Deloitte lawyer cleared after allegations of an “unwanted” kiss at a work event has told Financial News that being thrust into the public eye before guilt is proven can be “deeply debilitating” for those under investigation.

Jassen Venkatasamy was referred to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal over the incident, but the case was dismissed after a two-day hearing on 26 and 27 March.
