A former JPMorgan Asset Management analyst’s claim that he was overlooked for promotion because of his ethnicity has been dismissed after an appeal to an employment tribunal.

Bakar Ahmedou, who was an analyst in a middle office Emea team, tried to overturn a 2020 decision against him, returning to court in a bid to win a racial discrimination and victimisation claim against the asset manager.
