JPMorgan's former head of European equity research has joined one of the City of London's best-known equity advisory firms as competition heats up in an increasingly crowded market.

Christian Kern worked at JPMorgan from 2009 until last year, according to his LinkedIn profile. He started in the bank’s Dubai office as head of equity research for the Middle East and North Africa, then oversaw research across central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2014 he moved to London, where he was head of European equity research.
