FCA confirms mortgage payment holiday extension

The ban of lender repossessions will also be extended until 31 October

The Financial Conduct Authority confirmed an extension to the mortgage payment holiday until the end of October, as the UK prepares to reopen parts of its economy after the Covid-19 lockdown.

More than 1 million mortgage payment holidays have been approved by UK banks after it was introduced on 20 March. Options for support include a full or part payment holiday for a further three months.
