FCA probes London Stock Exchange Group over data centre access concerns

Bourse owner has proposed giving equal access to data centre rooftop

The Financial Conduct Authority has launched an investigation under competition law into whether the London Stock Exchange Group disadvantaged rivals by preventing them from using the roof space of its data centre.

The City regulator is reviewing an arrangement whereby LSEG and the landlord of the LSE’s data centre building gives LSEG exclusive access to its rooftop for low latency connectivity services radio equipment.
