Investment in London's financial technology companies bounced back from 2016 lows in the first quarter of this year, according to industry promoters.

Venture capitalists spent £177.9 million backing fintech entrepreneurs in the first three months of 2017, according to the founders of London Tech Week, a promotional event, who cited figures from data provider PitchBook.
