Fitch puts Ixis on rating watch

Fitch, the ratings agency, has threatened to downgrade troubled French fund manager Ixis following concerns over stability and consistency in its European equity investment process and performance.

A spokesman at Fitch said Ixis would temporarily retain an asset manager rating of AM2 - in a descending scale of AM1 to AM5 - but said there were strong indications of an imminent downgrade in the coming weeks.
